South Dunedin Future – Your opportunity to Have Your Say

South Dunedin Future is a joint programme between Dunedin City Council and Otago Regional Council to help the South Dunedin community reduce flooding and adapt to the changing climate. The programme has reached the stage of consulting on seven possible future scenarios that imagine what South Dunedin could look like 75 years from now.

The Advocacy team will be meeting with Dunedin City Council in the coming weeks so if you have thoughts on this, please feel free to get in touch with Sandamali. Otherwise, you can share your thoughts directly by filling out the survey here via the Dunedin City Council website.

Oral submissions to Christchurch City Council

Last week, Property Council took part in Christchurch City Council’s oral hearings to present our feedback on the draft Annual Plan 2025/26 and the Development Contributions Policy Review. We reinforced our vision for Christchurch as a vibrant, attractive city for investment and offered recommendations to help the Christchurch City Council achieve this. We also opposed the Christchurch City Council Development Contributions Fee Policy – asking for a pause until the Government’s Development Levy Overhaul is introduced.
